What’s a picture worth? To us, 100 years! On this page you will find images of our people and our past[TL1] , as well as pictures from this year’s Centennial celebrations and volunteering drive.
Through these pictures you can embark on a fascinating journey through our history, follow how our employees are volunteering in their communities in 2012, and marvel at the innovative ways three world-renowned photographers have portrayed our people and installations. We hope you enjoy them.
Photo Book and Exhibition
For our 100 years anniversary, we commissioned the photographers Marco Grob, David Hiepler and Fritz Brunier – who are among the best in their field – to capture employees and industrial plants of Holcim around the world from another point of view.
When we engaged these talented artists, we gave them as much freedom as possible to photograph the people and plants they wanted, in the way they felt most appropriate. We were interested in their take, as professionals but also as outsiders, on what makes Holcim unique.
The result of this work is a large-format photo book which is published by teNeues, an international publishing group. It will be available for sale in bookstores all over the world.
This photo book shows that our people and installations can be portrayed in new and interesting ways. It is a testimony to our global presence, and to all who work in our plants and offices, every day of every year. With it, we want to show the world that our employees are at the center of everything we do.
A selection of the pictures are exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts Bern.
